For most people, seeing snow falling in the middle of summer might come as a bit of a surprise.
But not for the residents of Calgary, who happily watched the white stuff falling all of yesterday and barely batted an eyelid.
...
While the heaviest flurries took place across the Rockies, particularly in Banff, but by early afternoon it had begun snowing across lower ground, including in Calgary.
By the following day, however, things returned to normal with a full day of sunshine, though temperatures were still a little low at 60F (15C).
The forecast for the rest of the week shows the area staying sunny, with temperatures pushing up to a slightly more summery 80F (26C).

“It’s official. Earth just had its hottest month ever recorded”
Leftists never back down from their lies.
Yes, I always freeze to death when I turn on my stove.
*lol*
Eat it warmunists!
I say BS to that claim. They say that every year. Minnesota has been a little cooler than normal I believe.
If they are going to lie they need to at least make it a believable lie. No one believes this was the warmest year in modern history. It shows their desperation.
Last night it got down to 36F here in the Colorado Rockies. The cottonwood trees in the canyons near stream beds are already turning yellow.
I almost froze to death in Calgary but it wasn’t August.

Brings back great memories of a time when I was at by best. Alberta ain’t for the faint of heart! I’m looking to head back out there in the not-too-distant future.
I know folks who live in Calgary, nothing terrible stunning about snow in August there. It’s not entirely normal, but it’s not that unusual.
There are times I think about fleeing the US for Canada.
Colorado had late snows this year and is now expecting early snows. Hardly “globull warming”.
I believe the pattern we've seen across North America -- colder than normal in the east and warmer than normal in the west -- is consistent with the long-term weather patterns during the age when the Laurentide ice sheet covered much of the continent.
Warm globally, cool locally! LOL!

I’ve seen snowfall up on Highwood Pass down in the Kananaskis area in every month of the year.
“Calgary is stunned...”
This level of stunage is off the charts!
It ain’t for everyone, that’s for sure!

“...in the Kananaskis area”
Is that in Cananada?
Calgary is stunned by SNOWFALL in the middle of summer
seeing snow falling in the middle of summer might come as a bit of a surprise. But not for the residents of Calgary
