THE BRONX — A worker who lit a match to check if gas was coming out of a fuel line in a science classroom sparked the blast that destroyed part of a Bronx school Thursday night, officials suspect.

Somehow, it is more than appropriate that this happens in DiBlasio's New York. Guy lights match in science lab to check for leak. It's like a Wil E Coyote cartoon.

And to think we use “soap bubbles” to test for leaky joints. That, and a sense of smell or electronic sniffers. Never thought of using fire to check for leaks in a flammable circuit. No WONDER union nimrods look down on us lowly unaffiliated tradesmen.

There’s a terminal out in the country we drive past where I think that stuff is injected. You can smell it for a mile around depending on the wind direction. Don’t know how the few folks living in the area can stand it.
