The recall includes certain 3- and 4-pound packages of American and white American slices, Kraft said. Those affected have a best when used by date between December 29, 2015, and January 4, 2016, followed by the manufacturing code S54″ or S55.
A thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain adhered to the slice after the wrapper has been removed, Kraft said. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could potentially cause a choking hazard.
The company said it has received 10 complaints and three reports of choking.

I've had wheel bearing grease taste better on a sammich than that.
I was free and clear. I was living the dream. I was stripped to the waist eating a block of cheese the size of a car battery.
It’s not cheese.
That just means there are 13 idiots out there that should be taken out of the gene pool.
3-4 pound packages?
Who can afford that any more?
10 complaints? 3 alleged choking incidents?
Good Grief.
How many millions of Kraft cheese slices are consumed each year?
I’ve got some of the American cheese slices in my fridge right now. Perfect for cheeseburgers on the grill! Melts the cheese and the plastic!!! 8^)
And I can pretty much bet who those 13 people voted for..are people seriously that stupid that they can’t check out the cheese slice BEFORE they put it in their mouth to be sure there is no wrapper on it, geez people
It was the summer of George.
Big companies paying for people’s stupidity.
Best thing to do with Kraft singles (sans wrapper)

Crispy Cheese Crackers
“Fold split one square of cheese into 16 tiny squares. Arrange on a sheet of parchment paper in somewhat of a ring around the edges of the paper.
Don’t place the cheese squares too close together or they’ll stick to each other.
Don’t place any in the center of the paper or they will burn before the outer squares are done.
Microwave on HIGH about 65 seconds, or until the crackers are well-browned, but not burnt.
Remove the parchment from microwave and let the crackers cool slightly before removing them from the paper.”
That stuff is “cheese”?
Same here, I’m planning to make my Cheese Grill Sandwich for lunch. I also not intend to choke on plastic. Looks like people are too dumb to unwrap the cheese and can’t tell if the wrapper is stuck to the cheese.
No biological entities have been harmed in its manufacture.
That’s why I buy Tillamook deli-cut cheese.
That crap isn’t cheese...
So true. I’m passing up a lot of things I used to buy.
I’ll try it when I save up enough money to buy a package, lol.
