2 Teen Girls Die From Apparent Overdoses at Hard Summer Music Festival in Pomona

The sold-out two-day festival continued Sunday at the Fairplex, located at 1101 West McKinley Ave. (map).

The teens’ deaths were not the first for the Hard festival. Another 19-year-old woman died from a suspected overdose at the same festival in 2014 when it was held in South El Monte.

That same year, 24-year-old Kimchi Truong of Oakland died from an apparent drug or alcohol overdose at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Somewhat off topic: The second girl’s name was Kimchi?
What I have heard about Kimchi, the food, would not inspire me to use that name for my daughter. But that’s just me, I’m not of that culture.
