Just don’t post it in ‘Breaking News’.. ;-)
I would like to see that.
I think the next longest thread to this one we had was around 10,000, but that would have been in June of 2005? Nicknamedbob should have that figure, precisely. I think.
I think is you post it in “General/chat” it would be an enlightening diversion..
And no danger of visitations of irate felines. ;-)
if..
If (Rudyard Kipling)
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream-and not make dreams your master;
If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!
(I know what you really meant, but I never mind a chance to review this poem.)
Aaannnndddd....
They’re off and running...
;-)
I’m headed for the barn, kiddies. See you in the morning.
And now, to see how far they go.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Hope you have a good night!
To increase your fame and circulation this article has been shamelessly posted without attribution on Facepagething.
(Other than a note to Goo-Gle the title which will ensure they find the source.. ;-)
Someone else can do the checking. I have a book report to write.

In the early years, tens of thousands of posts were nothing unusual.
Ah, the early years. How did we all have so much free time then?
Miserable night. I don’t think I’m going to make it to the bone density test. I will probably fail if I do.
I didn’t cough much, but I kept waking up and then having horrible dreams when I went back to sleep. It turns out I was awake about every 90 minutes. That’s not good for my brems, Cisco.
And the night sweats were monstrous. I’m surprised I have any liquid left in my body. Another T-shirt bites the dust and makes mud.
In Aug of 2005, we racked up 36,000+. I was wrong, then. Thanks, Bob! I think that’s when we decided to try and keep it to 10,000 or lower. But those were the days when we actually got to the troll thread before the Admin Mods did.
Sionnsar was very good at finding those things!
Pretty kitty! Just what I need to make me feel better.
Look, Gefn! A squee!
Sorry you had a bad night! We had Jake wanting in/out/in/out of the bedroom.
Today’s kitten seems to be sitting on a warm electronic device. I wouldn’t try to get him out of there!
Thanks, but if I don’t ever have a worse night, I’ll survive!
The wind is howling outside the window, and it’s eerie.
57 degrees, 20% and N@ 15. Not my idea of a nice time.
I’d like to sit on a warm electronic debice but I don’t think it would survive the experience.
Mine!
