Back in the mid-70s I heard from a friend that if one added two drops of liquid smoke to a fifth of cheap whisky that it would take the ‘sting’ out of the cheap stuff and make it taste as good as the expensive stuff. I have never tried it because I refuse to buy the cheap stuff.

Maybe Old Crow, or Early Times rot-gut, which is what my dad drank, can make a comeback. ;-)

None taken, at least by me. The folks in Frankfort might give you a hard time. My philosophy is based entirely on taste. If I like it, it can be distilled in Sheboygan for all I care. But I probably wouldn’t drink it with cheese curds.
