Mayors emboldened by an appeal from Pope Francis are committing themselves to a new set of U.N. goals to end poverty and promote sustainable development over the next 15 years.
At the end of a two-day Vatican summit on Wednesday, several dozen mayors from around the world unanimously adopted a declaration pledging to endorse the goals and work to implement them in their home cities.

Combating climate change huh.
Socialism is not the cure, Mayors.. nor is Marxism.
So step one...join the Catholic Church. Right? Or did I misunderstand the mayor’s agenda?
As expected. Signing on for Agenda 21 assistance. Its about the dinero. Nothing more.
Dear Beast:
This letter is being sent in response to your recent inquiry about future events.
Hmmm...”sustainable development”? It has a good ring and it will fool millions of people ino submitting to it for the greater good of humanity. I’ll pass it on to the Pope to use at the UN meeting in New York in September. Good thinking, Soros and Obama.
Your friend till the end,
Satan
Since these mayors think so highly of the Pope’s views on “Climate Change” can we assume that they will also work to close abortion clinics in their cities and uphold the sanctity of male-female marriage?
Is it possible that I can care less what mayors think about climate change than the Vatican does?
As though they would support anything else the Catholic Church might advocate? Where is the separation of church and state we are always hearing about?
A customer of mine was incredulous that I didn’t buy into the climate change issue. He asked if I didn’t think it was hotter? I reminded him it is July. The other thing I asked was how he thought a politician might respond to a crisis, real or perceived, that would require government authority over virtually everything?
I see what you did there...
