HOUSTON, TX A new song by two of Houstons own cranks out the bass, all while beating down boundaries. The unlikely duo of gangster rapper Slim Thug, and preacher Joel Osteen is breaking the internet as much for their pairing, as for their musical message.
Slim, a member of Osteens Lakewood Church for many years, used clips of the pastor on Chuuch, a song on the rappers latest release Hogg Life Volume 2″. And while mixing religion and rap might not be the norm, for many the sermon and the song are a perfect fit.
The message of the song is basically to live a good life, you have to keep good people around you. Its a song full of solid advice, no matter what your beliefs. To that we say, Amen!

You’re not making religion any better, you’re only making rap even worse!

OK - what rhymes with JesusAFAIK there is no one word that rhymes with Jesus. Any combination of a word that ends with the "ees" sound and "us" will rhyme, however. Some possibilities:
Jesus/frees us
Jesus/he's us (Buddhist rather than Christian doctrine, but we're talking rhymes here)
Jesus/knees us (e.g., "I choose to follow Jesus/'cause Satan always knees us")
Jesus/sees us
Jesus/she's us (transgender Buddhist rather than Christian doctrine, but again, this is a rhyme issue)
Jesus/threes us (e.g., "It's me and my Lord Jesus/and Mother Mary threes us")
I'm sure people can come up with others, but the work shift calls...

“to live a good life you have to keep good people around you.”
I could be wrong but isn’t that exactly opposite of what Jesus did. That whole eating with sinners and tax collectors thing comes to mind.
