With the most recent assault on sanity the last few days, I think if we are changing offensive names on public places, why not public people?
Recall that our 42d president's middle name is Jefferson. It may or may not be for Jefferson Davis. (Why quibble?) None the less, that is too close to President Davis's Christian name (can I use that term) so let's change it just in case.
Then we have Sheila Jackson Lee. Now there is a two-fer revision :Andrew Jackson the slave owner and General Lee. Both names must go in Ms Sheila's name.
And I am sure Sir Edmund Hillary would like his name back from you-know-who.
OK. That starts it for me. Any others on the left that may need revising as not to be offensive?
Ban William Jefferson Clinton from all public arenas, libraries and institutions bearing his name.....that’ll work!
Next:
Jefferson City, Missouri is renamed...
His name is the only thing about him I like
He’ll just say he’s named after George Jefferson.

omg - by one second!
I think you should jump in on the absurdity and create a twitter hashtag insisting he change his name. ;)
He needs to be banned from the White House for sure.....and Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton, too.
Don’t forget Michael (Stonewall) Jackson.
He has already from Blythe to Clinton.
Everything is symbolic now. Yes. He should rush into court and change it. Imagine, carrying a symbol of racism and oppression!
He should change the Jefferson to Johnson.
For many reasons.
Hmmm.
Wonder if Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is related to Confederate Cavalry Commander Col. John S. Mosby?
Or the Bent One.
No. No particular name is perfect or imperfect by it’s own virtue (with ‘Hitler’ being one of the few exceptions).

The criminal reprobate should have his name changed to “Prisoner #12345 william jefferson clintoon” as he serves out his life sentence in a Fed SuperMax.
