Federal officials want to spend $20B on AIDS drugs, based on 45 cases

The AIDS industry and its government allies were just waiting for evidence to justify a change in policy. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, which sponsored the trial, said he had had “no doubt how it was going to turn out.” The trial was stopped early, when a (statistically) significant difference of 53 percent favoring the treatment group was announced .

Many patients have been reluctant to start early treatment because of drug side effects. Newer regimens are more tolerable. The 53 percent difference is likely to persuade many to opt for immediate treatment.

But the “53 percent” represents just 45 individuals. At the time the study was stopped, 86 of those in the deferred-treatment group had died, developed AIDS, or suffered a serious non-AIDS event like heart, liver or kidney disease or cancer, vs. only 41 of those in the immediate treatment group.

AIDS is still a gay disease and the federal government will do anything for them.

Yep, amazing what happens when a disease is PC.

With all the talk of charging fat people more for health insurance, when are they going to start charging homosexuals and the promiscuous higher rates for all their ailments? No? Gee, what a surprise!

These big windfalls of money from the government have been, I suspect, the source funding for the lawsuits promoting homo acceptance.

Good point. Our government has become a giant money laundering operation.

Indeed, not to mention the re-directing of funding from cancer/other diseases.

“Note that many of the adverse outcomes in study patients can be caused by antiretroviral drugs, especially with prolonged use. These include heart disease, liver damage, and cancer—and also premature aging and cognitive impairment.”

The last two are NOT caused by AIDS meds, but by HIV. They happen even with the meds. Why are they lying?

The AIDs industry. The climate change industry. The voting fraud industry. The Anti-2nd, 4th & 5th amendments industry. The federal government expansion & aggrandizement movement. Weaken our military/strengthen Islam program. The homosexual agenda. The New World Order/ship American jobs south and overseas movement.... all Democrat goals, aided by “pragmatic” Republicans.

Actually, the HIV medications cause plenty of negative side effects. If anything, it makes me wonder why so many guys don’t just stay cautious rather than )$&& around with so many potential infectees.

I’m starting to read about them, but the information is not widely disseminated. The premature aging and dementia are HIV-related, so I don’t understand why the article said they were caused by the meds. I assume half the homosexual population will have dementia in the near future.

There are negative recorded side effects from the medication, ranging from deformities such as buffalo lumps to actual depression. It always goes past my mind why so many guys have some badge of pride in getting HIV when living with HIV for many people brings in just these side effects alone. I personally do what I can to avoid blood borne diseases for reasons like this right here: the side effects of suppressing such a disease would be nasty add-on to what issues I already deal with. As far as I have heard about the dementia though, it can happen with or without medication treatments.
