Ah geez. Major retail stores have been doing this forever. When I worked for dept store part time in the 70’s; they checked us as left work. They have that policy in place because of theft. The stores don’t want you taking their stuff free of charge. A lot of in store thefts are inside jobs. What’s wrong with looking in your bags. I am sure the employees know this. Sounds like more political propaganda BS. Look at Walmart? They check customers as well as employees.
