A teacher at Encinal High School in Alameda, Calif., allegedly told his tenth-grade students to find their parents’ sex toys and condoms and take selfies with them for extra credit.
A local CBS affiliate reports that two of the students’ mothers, Kimberly Cobene and Evangeline Garcia, had heard about the assignment from a counselor at the school.
“It was to go into your parents’ private drawers or whatever to seek out sexual toys or condoms, or anything of that nature and to take a selfie with it,” Cobene said.
According to CBS, the school administration has tried to play off the assignment as having been a joke — but Garcia said she’s not buying it:
“If the kids took it as a joke, then why did one kid take it serious and actually did the extra credit work, and was shown as an example in class?” she asked.
The school is currently investigating the situation — but Garcia said she doesn’t think it’s being taken seriously enough.
“We don’t feel comfortable with our children in his presence. All they could tell us is that, ‘Oh, this is an HR issue. It’s being investigated.’ They are not at liberty to tell me anything other than that. It’s kinda been the runaround,” she said.

How much of this nonsense do the parents not find out? How much that is found out is never reported?
I know a lot of people have ‘good’ reasons not to homeschool, but what goes on is truly child abuse. And in case nobody noticed, the reports of what teachers are doing just keep getting worse.
Add on Common Core to this and it paints quite a scary picture.
Take your kids out of the indoctrination camps and home school now! We homeschooled both of our daughters (now 37 and 39) after they hit about fourth grade and don’t regret it one bit.
In what universe would an adult in their right mind think this is an appropriate thing to have teenage children do? This is wrong in many ways.
How is this level of perversion any different than that weirdo teacher who took school children to a porn shop?
They probably both went to the same teaching seminar.
