(original article, which is linked to Fox News channel above)

Donald Trump did an interview with CBN News where he made his usual ‘bigger than life’ statements, even saying that he will make Mexico pay for the border fence that he will build. I’d love to believe that but I’d need to hear how he’d make that happen, because it sound pretty unbelievable.

I imagine there is something Mexico gets/wants from us that Trump will negotiate with for the fence.

I know he’s supposed to be a champ at negotiating, but I wonder what he would trade for that fence...

Just this generation’s Ross Perot trying to siphon off votes from those who actually would do something.

H Ross Perot was in a third party.

Trump is running in the GOP.

Just saying. I supported Perot, but this is not the same.

How about a tax on remittances to Mexico, earmarked for fence construction?

Trump would trade the rights to build another casino in Mexico for that fence.

The immigrants want to stay here...fine. They can be put to work on the fence to keep the others out as a condition for their staying here!

In this case party doesn’t matter because for the nomination, each candidate IS essentially different party in some respects. And, in this contest, his candidacy represents a diversionary siphon of votes that could be cast for a couple of more earnest candidates who have a real chance at knocking Jeb Bush out of the nomination.

Trump isn’t serious about it and by the time he backs out, he may have already done the damage.

He will either announce, or stand down, in just over two weeks.

He won’t do any damage in the next two weeks.

(if he stands down, he will stand down and not be focused on again, this way)

In my opinion.

However I don’t believe he’s going to stand down this time. I think he’s actually going to run.

We will see.

Actually pretty similar—both humongous egos diluting the real conservative vote.

Well I supported Perot.

I understand that election was a mess for our side. But I stand by supporting Perot. America would not now be the second-largest economy in the world, if Perot would have won that election.

China would not have replaced us.

However Trump is running for the (or standing down and not running for the) GOP nomination.

I don’t see a repeat of that this time.

Thanks for your post.

Who was the “real conservative” in the 1992 and 1996 elections?

Fair point.

And can you tell me who is the real conservative on illegal immigration in this race?

First, don’t get your panties in a wad if Trump goes third party. It would be foolish to assume he’ll actually officially enter the Republican Primary. I”m not assuming he won’t, but you should not assume he will.

Second, his schtick is the same...just let me fix it...Perot and his “I’ll look under the hood, find out what’s wrong, and fix it” idiocy is just like Trumps bluster that he can negotiate Eskimos into buying ice from him.

Why do you keep falling for this?

Absolutely NO ONE in 92 or 96 was a conservative.

Just over two weeks.

Then we’ll see...

Trump is making very clear sounds about protecting jobs in America.

Nobody else is. I’m with Trump on this subject.
