The foiled attempt in Australia may well be why the US military bases are on increased security alert. It was just a few weeks ago that base security was the butt of jokes in several US locations. Besides being stripped of weapons inside the bases, entry areas appeared to be unmanned and unserious where they were manned.

Well, I did a bit of Internet research, and I may have just pinpointed it.
You see, we've all heard those over-market saturated "put another shrimp on the barbie" Australian accent commercials.
And, taking a peek at this Website -- Arabian, BBQ, and Grilling Recipes -- it appears to me that a "fave" "barbie" Arabian recipe doesn't involve shrimp at all.
No.
It's kebabs of various types.
So the fact that we don't hear Australian accent commercials saying "Put another kebab on the barbie" is quite incendiary and provocative.
No wonder these Aussies were targeted!

I did that over ten years ago (in part because of the filthy hygiene in those types of shops). Hasn't made a dent in the cockroach population, though. Time for Plan 2 - deport, deport, deport. And for good measure, deport again.
