War Game - Largest Peacetime Us Army Maneuver [sic] Lner (1938)

I appreciate your posting this, and I believe we get the point that there have been large military exercises conducted on and off base in years past.
Understand that what’s unusual in Jade Helm this year is that it’s being conducted across ten large south western states, and identifies Texas and Utah as “hostile” occupied territory.
The purpose of Jade Helm appears to be targeted toward training for a domestic upheaval / unrest.
Why is it so hard to understand the significant concern with JH?
Do we understand the difference between Jade Helm’s multi-state domestic unrest exercise, and understandable WWII / Cold War focused exercises?
The military trains for the conflicts it expects to fight.
Are you okay with 2013 NDAA law that allows for indefinite detention for US citizens?
Are you okay with US Justice and Pentagon defining constitutionalists, and veterans as likely domestic terrorists?
Many other points of recent gov’t action fuels concern about preparation for future martial law.
If normalcy bias provides numb comfort, sleep soundly.

If you had read my other posts you would see I informed readers that such exercises have been conducted in the past, including exercises regarding civil war in a modern United States; and I also cautioned against too much complacency about the history of past military exercises. In other words, the existence of the Jade Helm exercises are not unprecedented or by themselves reason for alarm, and the civilian need for vigilance and concern is also not unprecedented, unwarranted, or a cause for ridicule or embarrassment. People have to realize such military training is warranted and not necessarily a cause for alarm, and they also need to remain vigilant against any unlawful attempt to use such a normal military training exercise as cover for a political coup by a dictatorial regime.
