maybe it’s just the new normal of Sea LIon overpopulation and the prohibitions against culling them.
Probably looking for some sunscreen.
Are the oceans really warming? Maybe it’s us frogs being slowly brought to a boil.
because of a drastically warming ocean ..”
Really? Try swimming in Ocean Beach without a wet suit.
NBC: Bay Area — says it all. Move along.
“A stranded sea lion pup nicknamed Rubbish was walking along a San Francisco sidewalk Thursday morning in what marine mammal rescuers fear could be the new normal of a warming Pacific Ocean.”
So, now we have the FINAL proof of global warming! The science is definitely settled now: a sea lion pup (named “Rubbish” even) was walking along a San Francisco sidewalk! And in fact, I do now seem to remember that Al Gore repeatedly emphasized in “An Inconvenient Truth” that all the climate models were predicting that sea lion pubs wandering around San Francisco would be the final proof of global warming, though I’m not sure if the models were so specific as to give the actual names of the wandering pubs.
(BTW, I had no idea that sea lions actually walked; is that a side-effect of global warming as well?)
Even the climate scientists say this isn’t due to global warming, this is a regional weather event.

Does anyone proofread anymore?
If it goes to chinatown it is certainly not safe at all.
There should have been a trigger warning for this story.
The new San Francisco treat!
Ding ding.
Warming oceans....a sea lion pup...and we are to drastically change our lives immediately to save the whole world....whatever....I hate liberals and their goofy articles they write....one incident and it becomes a known trend & therefore it is the responsibility of every US citizen to stop global warming....but the US can’t get involved in anything else though...idiots....articles like this remind me why I chose a conservative mindset!
Old rustly 12 guages used to keep this sort of riftraft off the streets and on the ocean-bound rock piles where they belong back in ther day.
Last I heard the Pacific Ocean is cooling.
Since “ocea” was cut off, I read it as “orca.”
Man, I really don’t want to see warming orca going after wildlife in the streets of our cities. Even SF.
...babump...
It's San Francisco, do I dare make a comment?
How about "dog carrier"? hahahaha
