Defying The Odds, Mixed-Race Twin Girls Are Born Different Colors: One Is Black And The Other White.
Viral Spell ^

An incredibly rare quirk of genetics has produced twin baby girls with totally different skin color: one sister has black skin and the other is white.

The resulting effect is so stunning that even the babies’ own father says it is hard to believe that they are related.

I knew twin boys who, even though they were both white, looked completely different. Less alike than most non-twin sibs do.

What is stunning about it? How does this defy odds?

They are not identical twins are they?

Twins have even come out male and female.

I think the oddity is that one is completely white and the other is black. I do not see how the other one can be completely black.

I guess. But if they weren’t born at the same time, would it be newsworthy?

Twins just means born at the same time, not necessarily from the same father or egg I would think?

It happens. The woman had sex with a white and a black.

That’s ignorant.

Mixed-race children most often can look like either race, though most often they’re somewhere in between, as you’d suspect.

Fraternal twins are no more closely related genetically than any other two siblings.

A girl that went to school with my son had twins from two different fathers. DNA proved it out.

She was a bit on the... umm....loose side and had been with 2 different guys a day or so apart.

It depends on what type of twins they are.

The father is mixed-race himself, so there a lot of genes in the pool here.

Yes, both babies have the same features save for the skin color.

From what I can observe on this small screen, the child next to the mother appears racist.

Sorry it has actually happened. There was a paternity case in California (if I remember correctly)where one child was black and one white.

I agree that fraternal twins can have different fathers.

What’s ignorant is to assume that if they look different they must have been fathered by men of different races.

I would suspect there’s upward of 90% probability these two girls have the same father as well as the same mother.
