Well I think it might have been better if, how should I put this? Many boys tend to idolize bad men. Back in 30's 40's 50's 60's those men were Mafia. They were well dressed, at least until those track suits became fashionable.
My point is white boys now emulate black thugs and want to be thugs.
I don't think it's racist, I think it's sad that boys only have thugs, whatever their color to look up to.
