I am afraid there is now no chance for peaceful resolution of the problems the left have created. History is the guide.

I agree on giving Ferguson to the natives. Let’s sit back and watch what happens while the halfrican is still in the Whiteyhut.

As far as AA’s not knowing when to quit, they indeed do when “their” life is at stake. That’s why no wide scale black rebellion will ever occur.

There are bad eggs in every line of work, but as citizens you should expect more from those given that level of authority by the government. As law enforcement officer, we owe that to you.

Just as you will find hot heads that can escalate any situation, you have complete wimps that don't have the ability to de-escalate. That doesn't mean being overbearing. It means having a calm, commanding presence, that says to a violent person, "I don't want to fight you, but if we must you will end up on the short end of the stick."

I am sorry, but levying a fine for failure to appear, or pay a fine, is not in control of the police department. It also isn’t a radical approach to get people to show up in court.

A report of police abuses such as this is probably more common than one would hope for. But the responsibility for such abuse does not lie solely with the specific enforcement body. A system like this cannot succeed without a compliant judiciary. I have personally seen a case where the officer wrote a citation for an infraction which never happened. The Officer committed his first felony by submitting the ticket for processing (false police report). The second felony occurred when he perjured himself in a written deposition and then verbally under oath in the court room. The third felony was one of conspiracy which he entered into with the Justice of the Peace. The cited violation?...talking on a cell phone while vehicle was in motion (totally bogus, phone record was blank for the date in question). The real reason for the citation?...having a perfectly legal radar detector on the dashboard.

Agreed. I think that we are roughly in the historical phase faced by the Roman Republic in the time period of Sulla, Marius, Caesar and Pompey.

I do tend to expect calm professionalism from anyone in law enforcement, so when I saw the opposite, and it was directed at me, I could only bite my tongue. There was no reason for me to escalate things, so I didn’t.

That’s why he sticks in my mind as the anomaly. I’d run across so much good prior to him. He wasn’t corrupt or anything that I know of. Just the classic ‘hot shot, tough guy’.

This is a product of hiring the wrong people and not enough time paired up with a partner. Not enough mentoring of young officers.

He was alone. You’re probably right. If he’d had a partner along, I think his attitude would have adjusted considerably.

I’ve seen the police de-escalate many times in my work as a volunteer EMT. There are some towns left where they still do it right.

I think Whites should exit Ferguson - like yesterday. We’ve seen the show of racist blacks getting power over white authority figures before. It never gets better; only more violent. You can not appease ingrained racism in power. Your appeasement feeds it’s violence.
