Greta Van Susteren Cuts the Price on Her Maryland Home
The Wall Street Journal ^ | February 26, 2015 | STEFANOS CHEN

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren and her husband, John Coale, have reduced the asking price on their 18th-century Annapolis, Md., home to $1.825 million, down from $2.1 million last April.

The couple bought the 3,684-square-foot home for about $1.8 million in 2010, according to public records and Mr. Coale. Located downtown near the waterfront, the home has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half-baths. Its price was reduced in December.

Looks like a nice place but a little too urban for my tastes. I like to have a big yard that borders woodlands. I wish the Greta well in finding a qualified buyer to take this off her hands at the current asking price.

I know it's traumatic and stressful to have to come down from your original selling price. That's why it's so important to price the house properly as a seller. If you ask too high a price at the start and you have to drop it, buyers start to get spooked and they look much harder for flaws during the home inspection phase of the transaction.

$1.825 million seems to be a fair price for 3,684 sq. ft. in this quaint Annapolis neighborhood.

Greta has always been my favorite female over at Fox News. Not sure why I am so attracted to her as she is not exactly a conservative and she's mixed up in that Church of Scientology nonsense. I just like the way she does her job behind the desk. Very efficiently and crisply. She tends to get down to business. In kind of a Jane Curtin kind of way.

I'm thinking Bruce Jenner wants to look like her after his "operation." But he's going to fail badly. No mutilated man is going to unseat the Queen of Fox News from her thrown.

Maybe it's haunted.

"Maybe Jesus will come back soon."

Well, he is in the runoff for Mayor of Chicago. However, this isn't the Jesus we want.

Well I understand it's not exactly a top story but I do feel badly that she has not been able to move this house. I'm thinking maybe there is a Freeper out there willing to take it off her hands. It does look like a nice piece of real estate and there is some history with this house as well. Goes back several centuries.

I recently purchased a home in Southern CT but would not have been able to do so if I was not able to first sell my Massachusetts home. Fortunately I priced it properly and found a buyer within two weeks.

Here is an exterior photo of Greta's Maryland home...lots of brick!

Nice place. The wife and I was looking at one that was VERY similar, but was even nicer with a bigger yard for only $600k. Though it was nice, it needed some 'under the hood' work and restoration.(black mold in the old basement too)

Holy crap.....had no idea she lived there....very close to the Naval Academy. Heck I lived in Arnold and commuted everyday to the Academy (about 7 minutes) but if I had her house I could have gotten there in about 2 seconds.

I would guess that she and her husband want to get out of the high tax land of Maryland! Not an hard choice. Lived there for a few years and it was the most tax intensive State that I’ve ever lived in and I have some experience in that area...heh. Good for them for getting out...

I’d guess that most of you don’t understand the taxes necessary to maintain a home in Maryland...heh.

Federal, State, City, Local, and taxes just because you are living...heh. It is a mess and was I so glad to get out of there!! Over half of my income went to taxes there and dammit, am so glad to be back in Texas! Life is so much better!!

Connecticut is pretty bad for taxes too. So is New Jersey and New York. Maryland is probably right up there.

Someday I'm going to move out of the Northeast.
