Cissy has never run away from home before.
But on Saturday the miniature schnauzer from Iowa did, in order to find the person that ishome.
Cissy disappeared from her yard in Cedar Rapids, only to show up about 20 blocks away at Mercy Medical Center.
Her owner, Nancy Franck, has been at the hospital for the last two weeks, after undergoing surgery for ovarian cancer.
But it remains a mystery how the dog managed to find her way back to her beloved 'mom'.

People should be more like dogs.
It`s called GPS- Global Pooch Search-all dogs have it
Ping!
Also called Sissy - she’s already world famous for her exploit.
If only people were more like dogs..dogs are the most loyal creatures on this planet..always by your side no matter what..always there to make you feel better and give you a lick

February 15th, 2003....
my wife is due with our first, and only child, in ten days. We have an adorable Pomeranian named Copper who at that point was four years old.
That morning I get up early to head for the city. I am meeting about 2 dozen Freepers (along with Curtis Sliwa) for a counter protest against 250K zombies who are besieging the UN to protest the forthcoming war in Iraq...its about 5-degrees out.
My odyssey begins on the train with face-to-face confrontations with “peace protestors” then continues at Grand Central with the same zealots..I meet up with the Freepers and we take on the anti-American lemmings..
I call home and ask my wife how she’s feeling..”okay but i’m concerned about Cooper (our dog)...she won’t leave me alone and is always by my feet like no other time before...i almost stepped on her twice”...
Later on during a break in the action I again call home. My wife says “i’m okay but Cooper is still acting funny- she followed me into the shower and she’s NEVER done that before”...
a few hours later i call home and my wife says “there’s a trickle of water running down my leg- my water may break”...
i leave the Freepers and take the train home to find out our little Cooper walked my wife down the stairs until her friend met her and took her to the hospital...
11:56PM that night, the same day i took part in my first Freep, our daughter was born 10 days early- and our Pomeranian Cooper knew what was going to happen about 14 hours before anyone else!!
True Story...
Thankfully,some folks are.
Yep, my German Shepherd would “mark” me to my wife when I was returning home from a trip, interestingly, 1/2 mile from our house...
Dogs are miracles.
There is no doubt in my mind that God gave to them to us on purpose.
[and that’s probably why Muscums despise them]
And God love YOU and your family to provide a little dog who is there in a crisis.
