and the greeter/host/ MC - starts with ‘YOU GUYS’
Spouse and I cringe.
‘You guys’ is quite a juvenile greeting.
Instead, how about:
‘You all - ‘
‘This audience - ‘
‘Ladies and Gentlemen - ‘
‘Greetings - ‘
‘Hello - ‘
‘Students - ‘
‘Boys and girls - ‘
‘Girls and boys - ‘
‘Children -’
‘Kids,’ if you will -
You can think of more.
