Canadian entertainment icon died Saturday after a battle with cancer
TOPICS: Humor; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: heehaw; hollywood; humour; obituary
Don Herron, who played Charlie Farquharson (Fark-a-sun) on various TV shows including
Hee Haw! passed away of cancer at the age of 90 in Toronto.
He most certainly sounded like a number of Ontario farmers I knew 40 years ago. His brand of humour will be missed.

He had a Canadian talk show for a while. I think it was semi-entertaining.

Yeah, it was called
Morningside. I found it was mildly entertaining as well.

Even 30 years ago, I couldn't, or wouldn't listen to PravdaKanada aka CBC, so I rarely heard him being himself, expect on the odd excerpt.
