Only one prank like that went really bad. It was on a short lived US clone of Candid Camera. They rigged gas station pumps to continue to increment after the person had stopped pumping gas.
Almost as soon as they realized that the pump was not giving gas but they were being charged, they angrily went nuts. Men and women. They were so angry that they didn’t care that it was a joke, they wanted to punch somebody. So they had to cancel the prank before somebody got hurt.
When one of my distant relatives was little, she loved cows and she loved hamburgers. We weren’t allowed to tell her they were the same thing. She would eat beef, but she wouldn’t eat cows. I’ve often wondered if she grew out of that, or if she’s like the folks in this video.
Reminds me of the joke I heard Jimmy Dean tell at a convention:
There was a man who made a fortune in the sausage industry, but he was compelled to do more for the industry.
He invented a machine, you put a pig in one end, and sausage emerges fom the other.
The man was very proud of his machine and he showed it to his son.
“Ya know, man. That doesn’t impress me at all,” he said to his father.
“It’s a miracle of engineering and efficiency!” the father said.
“Ya know, man, you show me a machine where you put a sausage in and then a pig comes out then I’ll be impressed, man,” the son stated.
“Son,” the sausage mogul replied, “I don’t have a machine like that, but your mother does.”
If that’s how it is made, no more for me!

I know a vegetarian who would buy pepperoni pizza and pick off the pepperonis. I asked if at the end of the year she was going to glue them all together and make a pig again. Those poor animals gave their lives for her to throw them in the garbage. How's that for caring for animals, huh? Disgusting. She also loved Pork 'N Beans until someone pointed out what those white chunks were.
I took our 4-H group on a meat market field trip. The guy was showing the kids the casings when lil miss b proceeded to make balloon animals out of it.
