There's a bizarre reason why millions of Americans saw their health plans cancelled in 2013 and, as explained in a new video featuring Robert Graboyes of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, millions more will lose their plans in years to come.

Obamacare is great!
The subsidies will never run out!
The government helped you by cancelling your terrible policy that you loved.
All hail the government!

And I bet every damned one of them are on Medicaid.

That is until doctors completely refuse to take it.

Although I am sure they exist, I have not talked to a single person who was helped by the ACA.

I have, however, talked to many who were harmed by it.

All according to plan.

Employer subsidized health insurance must be destroyed before government provided health insurance - “single payer” - can be implemented.

PPACA is a program, a process, of destruction.

Insanity. This was never about health care, it was about CONTROL, GOVERNMENT CONTROL. Got that?

I was helped tremendously, but that's relative. I also know there are people out there who were hit hard, and they're the ones paying for this mess. I was bleeding out of the nose for 10-15 years for a catastrophic only policy I couldn't afford, but couldn't afford not to have either.

Interesting. If you don't mind, can you say something about your deductibles? That was a sticking point with some friends of mine.

I went from a small co-pay to a #10,000 deductible with 30% co-pay for in-plan and 50% co-pay for out-of-plan doctors. And all for the same price!

I never forgot that.
In fact, if you take this formulation and apply it to about any federal agency, a lot of things become very clear… and a little frightening.

They're paid activists. I would not be surprised if one person is using multiple accounts. This type of prog activism has been picking up since the election. Just an observation. I just wonder if they are being paid and by who.

Little as in Jupiter compared to the sun, keeping in mind the size of the Earth...

Let see - here is the super-abbreviated version of my own experience:

Received notice immediately after the law was passed that my insurance carrier was closing up shop in my state (they were purchased by a larger company that was then consolidating resources in anticipation of Obamacare... and chose to stop offering policies in my state).

So I had to buy insurance from another carrier. Unfortunately, this went into effect after the cut-off for my policy to be “grandfathered” as “you can keep it if you like it...”. SO...

I received notice that my replacement policy would be terminated December 31, 2013 because it was not “ACA compliant”...

Obama issues an order supposedly stopping the cancellation of policies... Ha Ha Ha... a little late in December when policies were already being replaced... how????

So I am then forced to the healthcare.gov crap web site...of which i had the same problem as everyone else with the dysfunctional page. Finally find a policy that actually is 99.9% identical to the one cancelled by Obamacare law... LOL. Amazing. My premiums did go down, thanks to the advanced tax credit (BUT - the total premium was over double my previous policy I paid all by myself...).

Then - we get notice that our daughters have been referred to the state medicaid program... known as “ArKidsFirst”... We had no choice in the matter - After speaking to folks at all organizations involved, we were told our ONLY option was to complete the process with that medicaid program... we could not legally buy a policy to cover our daughters...

Move forward 6 months - receive letter in the mail - we have been referred to the state medicaid program/DHS for the expanded Medicaid program. Guess what policy I am signed up for... the exact same one I had signed up for already... only now - I don’t have to pay any premiums at all!!! Whoo Hoo!!!... Funny - my wife was also auto signed-up for a plan under the program... with a different insurance carrier...

So I call - and after jumping through hoops and call center phone trees... I am told to just hold on to my “new” insurance card - keep using my first one (since I had already paid my deductible in that plan) - and just call to cancel it in December before I am automatically re-enrolled... then use the medicaid provided plan form that point forward (oh - and in the meantime, I would have two identical policies with the same company.... one being paid for by the advanced tax credit + me paying part of the premium, the other - taxpayers paying for the whole shebang through the medicaid program...

So - I called last week to cancel the one... and had to fax in a letter signed with the “old” policy number... Done.

Three days later, I received a letter and a new insurance card - from the Healthcare Independence Program (state medicaid expansion)... So again, two insurance cards, two group #s, ALMOST the same policy... ugh.... Called again - they are investigating...

And here we are, a couple of days later - and my wife gets a new card from MY insurance carrier - for the OLD policy (healthcare exchange)... you know, the one that was suppose to be cancelled...

I think the guy at the insurance company I spoke with is still trying to catch his head, it was spinning so fast... I still haven’t gotten to the bottom of this all... And fully expect that they will auto-debit my insurance premium for the cancelled policy...

You know - I was paying my premiums just fine before all of this law garbage started.

But get this - if my income increases a bit more... things really get jacked up.

But I suppose this is all part of the plan - you jump from “free” (ha ha) to paying FAR higher premiums that ever before the law. So a dis-incentive to move up or work harder.

They are paid health insurance finders. To help people find insurance they lost under ACA. There are thousands of them on the payroll.

I’ve seen one or two. But they are the sorts of people who conveniently rationalize why they DESERVE to have their medical bills paid for by taxpayers, yet retain some sort of moral high ground in other areas. In the end, it boils down to money and greed.

Enjoy your slavery.

I, for one, will NOT, at any time, ever enroll in a govt healthcare plan.

Such plans are increasingly govt revenue oriented. Not healthcare oriented.

That's just snarky, since you don't even know me or my situation.
