From what I have read of the grand jury evidence and even what you said, he wasn’t able to defuse the situation.

Here is why. Brown went for the gun inside the officer’s car, there was a shot, evidence includes Brown’s blood in the car, gun shot residue on Brown’s hands.

Even what you say proves he couldn’t defuse the situation. If he shot 12 times and Brown was only hit 6 times, that means that Brown kept coming shot after shot. Brown was shot in the arm and other parts of his body and kept coming. The only way to stop him before he took Officer Wilson’s life was to kill him.

I don’t disagree with your point that it would be nice if we could deploy a non-lethal way to stop offenders without the need to kill them. For example, we have tried tasers, people die from heart attacks. In this case, I am not sure the taser would have stopped this kid. I had a hound once that was a bit of a barker. We tried a shock collar on him. Didn’t phase him.

And place the looting and BS protesting at the feet of the right people. The race agitators in this country, period. They don’t come out when white kids are shot by police. They don’t come out when black kids are killing each other at horrific rates. They just come out when they think it gives them power.

Exactly. Naps claims one shot to the leg would stop someone, yet, here is a guy shot several times at least and still attacking.

Delays are sometimes done with the best of intentions, with the aim of allowing you to ‘cool’ your passion a bit. . .let your Big Head do its thinking.

I've been stationed overseas a few times and I can't count the number of times some young troop got laid for the first time (or second), was homesick, and thought he was in love.

Not saying this was your case, but it used to be common practice the older enlisted guys suggest to the commander to save some young guy that didn't know what he was getting into. . .whereas the young lady KNEW what she was getting into. . .and it was the BX and a trip to the states. . .and then once in the US, within a year or two, divorced.
