Was this report written or produced by a machine? The same loose stew of facts and opinions is repeated near four times. No, that's all the writing skill you can expect from a DailyMail reporter. All their articles read like that.

I heard a similar story myself, only it occurred back in the late 1970s in Orange County, CA. It involved our friend’s dog, a BBQ, and a neighboring family from Vietnam.

I think this whole “emotional support anima” nonsense is one of the biggest cons going.

I think the guy said when he saw the lady coming down the aisle, he thought the pig was a duffel bag. When she tied it to the armrest next to him, that’s when he realized it was a pig.
To: dennisw
Imagine if the guy in the seat had been a member of the middle eastern death cult. He would have complained, sued, and he would have won millions of dollars because he was “offended.”
Just an ordinary guy, so no money.

Woman boarded US Airways plane in Connecticut on Wednesday
[ . . . ]
The unidentified individual boarded the US Airways flight to Connecticut with the animal on Wednesday.
Well, which is it? TO Connecticut or FROM CT. I can tell you a U.S. Airways flight does not fly from Tweed to Bradley (both within CT).

Spokeshave, the article did NOT say she was carrying the pig in a duffle bag...... it said,
"Jonathan Skolnik, a professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst told ABC News today he thought the woman was carrying a duffel bag and headed straight for the empty seat next to him." The eyewitness only said that he THOUGHT she was carrying the pig. I think that she was leading the pig on a leash and out of the corner of his eye, that must have looked like she had a big duffle bag.

Maybe skolnick should have taken his “blankie” with him for emotional support. That said, the woman is obviously so emotionally weak that she should remain in her house.

I often get stuck sitting next to a pig on an airplane: Extremely obese, hygenically challenged, and chowing down stinky food the entire flight.

To actually get a real blind services dog is a lot like adopting a baby. It entails extensive training, not only for the dog, but for the blind person as well. There is a home and personal check to see that the blind person has the ability to care for his\her service dog. Not every applicant qualifies to receive a certified blind service dog from the agencies that select and train these dogs. The other so called service animals I do not know about.

“That’s not a hippo, that’s a pig!”
