Ruth Provencal was terminated last month for saying “God bless you” to voters and other forms of “electioneering,” Renee Routhier, chairman of Derry’s Supervisors of the Checklist, said Saturday.

“We have to be politically correct at the polls; I can’t allow certain things to go on because it falls under electioneering,” Routhier said.

She should turn in all her money as well. After all, it says “In God We Trust” on it.

Ms Routhier is a busybodied B**tch! It’s nonsense to fire someone over that. If you want to be an atheist, go for it. Not everyone has developed your hate and fear of christianity Thank God.

Electioneering? Was God on the ballot?

And if this person had invoked a fake middle eastern deity, other than God/Jesus? The person would have been promoted.

The principle here is that God is pro-Republican. The Devil is pro-Democrat.

The definition of electioneer is: “to take part actively and energetically in the activities of an election campaign.”

So unless God’s name was on the ballot for an elected office this woman as NOT “electioneering”.

Routhier appears to be an ignorant twit, politically and religiously.

The political incorrectness of a blessing implies she is a liberal democrat protecting the victims of society from mental abuse or the confusion of having to make a decision for themselves.

Normal people are willing to accept such blessings as a gesture of goodwill from their fellow man. It wasn’t as if someone said “God bless Senator Blowhard” now was it.

Oh well, have a happy day and G_D bless Texas!

In my town, the one to the east, I commented with the bantering checklist gals about the very high turn-out. She was surprised. I said, it is because we intend to throw out all of the democrat bums. She scowled at me and then turned her head (as if to whisper something). BTW, you do know that Rockingham County went nearly 100% GOP. (so did Hillsborough to a lesser extent too) It is too bad that we could not overcome the 15000 or so votes to put Brown over the top.

The other neat thing about Rockingham is that it has the greatest percentage of Massachusetts transplants, but conservative fiscally. Why people may ask? Because they learned their collective lessons from years living in Taxachusetts.
