SITREP: Turnout. Tell us how turnout is where you are.
I'll start. North Texas. It's drizzely and cold. Generally sucky election weather. Here in my town north of Fort Worth I have never stood in as long a line to vote in the 8 years I've been here. Great turnout in this strong republican city.
Beautiful weather in Sierra Vista AZ today and there were no lines.
That doesn’t say a lot about turn-out. AZ is the best organized state that I’ve ever been to for voting or the DMV. :)
Here in Denton raining hard this morning but good turnout.
It was a day like any other in southwest Pennsylvania. I live in a fairly liberal area, and there were only two other people there when I went to vote this morning.
I’m guessing that’s a good sign.
In Colorado a general trend is that about 40+ percent of GOP voters have already voted. Only 30+ percent of Dem voters. Polls are still open but turn out (overall participation) seems to be heavier than normal mid-term election.
More than 51% of eligible with one hour to go in northern IL
At 3:30 in San Jose, CA there was no line, and just two others voting.
Not that it matters, it is a sewer of liberals here.
Death itself could win election here with a ‘D’ beside its name.
Not a single candidate I have voted for has won in 10 years...why do I even bother...
I’m in Maryland. I turned out. Now I’m going to turn in.
Grand Rapids, Michigan was windy, lots of drizzle all day, and clammy.
My district is seriously lefty (more rainbow flags than American). Stunningly light turnout this morning. The only local race that people would care about was for Justin Amash.
He basically was running unopposed. His Dem opponent was so MIA, that I didn’t even remember his name until I saw the ballot.
I’ve since forgotten it.
Where we were, last election in the whole precinct of 300 plus possible registered voters... only 90 voted in 2012. Precinct workers told us 200 voted from 7 am to 9 am. Precinct is heavily repub/independent.
I voted just before 5PM in Chicago. It was the first time for same-day voter registration in Illinois, and there was a line of over a hundred people waiting to register, stretching outside the polling place. I guess they were short-staffed, and the judge I talked to inside estimated that people would probably be waiting several hours in line to register and vote. Busiest I have ever seen it at that polling place.
Buckhead Atlanta Library - all booths occupied, 3-5 person queue.
Nice weather, high 60’s, clear at 5 pm est.
We walked to Cafe Agora and got gyros.
In honor of Senate election we decided on Greek grub. Best gyro in Atlanta.
Went to vote in Bucks County, PA. 12th year living/voting here, turnout was very light (lightest I’ve ever seen) when I got there at 7:30. Polls closed at 8:00
Exit reports directly from voters in many districts in Western NY indicate a turnout over 30% HIGHER than Presidential years, from areas mostly anti-Cuomo / anti-Democrat Whether this translates into an upset victory by GOP gubernatorial candidate Astorino remains to be seen, but at least it will put a good scare & send a message to this rabid, anti-2A pol.
Doesn't matter though, we can only imagine what vile mischief they're up to deep in the bowels of those 105% dem precincts. The minions of evil will be working late into the night, shifting boxes of pre-filled ballots like roustabouts and stuffing machines like its Thanksgiving dinner..
Trouble with Denton, is there are so many liberal college students. :-)
Impressive!
Yes, on a spindel, slowly cooked. It is awesome.
