Many states demand a fingerprint on file when renewing your drivers’ license so they have it already to use as they wish.

Being a Troglodyte/Neanderthal, I have never felt the slightest need for one of these damn Smartphone things, or wanted the $$.
Must PO the feral gubmint, knowing they are missing out on a prime way of monitoring me and what I post on Farcefarque/Twit/Whatever about my daily bowel movements. LOL!
And how many non-Smartphone users do use those social masturbation outlets? Could be an amusing research.
Heck, my wretched dial up only phone is lucky to get turned on once a day. But, then, these articles do give me a huge laugh at what seems to be "modern" life in urban areas....

You have distilled the essence of the statist agenda. This should be repeated in every debate by every true conservative running for office.

That doesn't work. The iPhone requires a living, real finger, not a picture of a finger. The state doesn't have any way to mandate that you use the same finger for TouchID as the one they scan for the driver's license, even if the state's scanner could be used to spoof TouchID, and there's no evidence it can.
