Not as mean as those evil SUVs.
Zombies vs Paintballers....it’s on!!!
What do you throw the bus under?
true
Dressed as a zombie, he emerged from his hiding place and ran toward the modified school bus, but he tripped and fell in front of the rear passenger-side tires, witnesses reported.

Was Tony Stewart driving?
I agree. Media generating clicks, trivializing an accidental death.
Well said. It doesn't sound like he was doing anything stupid or excessively risky. He was an actor in a Halloween Attraction.
Michelle’s butt.
The aisles were likely too narrow to provide safety and good peripheral vision for the drivers, even when done in the daytime. If they ever attempt it again, which is not likely, the people on the ground should be relatively stationary, or perhaps shielded from behind a concave wire fence, the type you find surrounding a baseball umpire.
In our joy to have a good time with friends, it’s easy to forget how very fragile humans really are. It doesn’t take that much to seriously damage or kill someone, especially with a moving bus full of loud, festive teens. Sorry for all concerned. I’m surprised the local fire department approved it, if they even knew about the set up.
Well I’m suprised it took this long for that stupid comment.
Just like Kevin Ward Jr this guy walks into the path of traffic.
Thanks. I don’t think people who joke about these kinds of things are essentially bad or anything like that, they’re finding humor in something that frightens them. The idea of death is so final and mysterious that people handle it in different ways, some by making light of it.
In this case I just can’t see anything humorous. It’s a bit strange on the surface, but ultimately it’s a tragic end of a young man who was just starting his life. Sorry to be such a downer, but this got to me. I just hugged my cat, my husband and my daughter and told them I loved them. Our earthly lives can end without warning, and we should appreciate what we have.
They would need to make the vehicles move slower, maybe on a track of some kind and to keep the “zombies” from getting too close.
I remember reading Charles Dickens as a child about how when Scrooge died, and people would joke that they would come to his funeral "but only if a lunch was provided."
Everybody is going to die someday. If it isn't a loved one, it's kind of tough to get broken up over it because people are dying every single day. I think the only different dynamic these days is that when we indulge in "gallows humor", we are doing it in a public way. Think about this: Eventually family members of this teen are going to Google his name and they are likely to be brought to this thread to see how we are joking about it. That may or may not go over well with them.
That said, and I've said it here before, should I die in a strange and unusual way, I give carte blanche to my fellow Freepers to express a morbid sense of humor over it. I won't be offended at all. Wherever I may be, I'll be laughing with you guys.
That would be a good approach, although I think from this point on, liability insurance for any future Zombie events on that spot will become very pricey. May be time to go back to Spider Web walls made from Glow in the Dark Angel Hair, along with Ronald McDonald and Hamburglar masks for the teens, now ‘armed’ with Supersized Squirtguns.

How true. BTW, I defended Tony Stewart right from the start, simply because that’s what the evidence supported.
“...maybe on a track of some kind and to keep the zombies from getting too close.”
But zombies aren’t dangerous (fun) unless they’re touch-close. That’s the whole idea. Behind fences and barbed wire, you could keep zombies in a zoo. But you could never have a zombie “petting zoo.”
OK

Islamic Terrorist Nutjobs aren’t dying fast enough for me! :)
