Agree on the garlic, but just a touch of lemon juice in the butter really brings out the lobster flavor.
And personally, a good lobster tail has to be grilled over hot coals in the cracked shell, boiling or steaming tends to make them mushy.
You are pretty much correct.
Anything I’m spending ten bucks on is NOT going into the microwave. There are rituals and practices to be observed.
Although yours probably tastes the same as mine does, just an hour sooner :+
There are probably better ways to prepare a lobster tail but my method is still very good. I think next time I try, I will take someone Else’s advice and try some lemon juice. It does seem like it would be good.
sailed those islands before the state took em over over 300 times....many many anchor sleep overs
Almost bought a lobster last night, but forecast was too hot - 95o - today to grill. Bought King Crab instead.
Has anyone seen this new ‘Japonica’ crab? Looks like snow crab but it’s redder and skinnier. Is it from Japan or nearabouts? Why is it $5/lb? Suspiciously cheap.
I am not familiar with it but the price sounds right.
...not if it’s irradiated.
Human civilization ends at the waterline. There’s things in that ocean that will eat people for a snack before a real meal of seals or otters.
Thanks. That is something I think I’m bright enough to do without messing it up.

Those claw junk from the NE are nothing nut sea going craw fish!
lobsters are everywhere else in the world and don't have claws.
Only the California Spiney one from north of Magdalena bay does the tail grow in proportion to the thorax, everywhere else the thorax growa but the tail stops about 8” long.
The biggest one I ever got was 18 pounds and 6 of us gorged ourselves for a week at Catalina.
“Those claw junk from the NE are nothing nut sea going craw fish!”
That’s what they look like. And just as delicious.
