A statement from the U.S. Navy says two crewmen bailed out of a Marine Corps aircraft on Wednesday when it lost power on takeoff from the USS Makin Island.
The pilot of the MV-22 Osprey was able to regain control and land safely aboard the ship. The Navy says the other crewman who bailed out was rescued and is in stable condition.

Lost power? Kind of like anything Obama does a lot of lately.
Bailing out of an Osprey? Damn, how do you train for that?

Why did the crew bail out? The pilot didn’t.
In a critical situation a pilot might tell the crew to bail out to save themselves but will stay on to try to save the aircraft. We have such people in our military.
Prayers for the missing.
The article is poorly written. I can’t figure out if there was 2 men or three. Pilot landed and other man was rescued, without mention of third man. I’m so confused.............:o(
Thanks for the alert, passing it on. If I can see my blurry monitor. Used to live under their flight pattern. Get attached.
This piece seems to suggest that everyone involved is now safe.Yet the headline reads “searching”.
Self confidence?
I’d hate to be part of the crew and find out the pilot already jumped.
Prayers sent.
