Owning a car should be “outlawed” to force people on to public transport, a senior Labour MP has suggested.

Because, after all, we're kings and can decree anything we bloody well like.

I agree wholeheartedly, which is why the first thing we need to do is make it a FELONY punishable by not less than 10 years in PRISON for a Public Servant or Public Employee to own ANY VEHICLE.

Just wait, this will be proposed here by out Stalinist transport secretary. And we don’t have Constitutional protections for vehicles against the eco nazis.

Let me guess: There’ll be a Muslim carve-out so they won’t have to comply? What do I win?

What are they so worried about? Aren’t these the same people cheering the coming dawn of the Driverless Car? I don’t expect a tidal wave of driverless, because people like me prefer making their own choices. However, elderly or disabled people sure could use such a vehicle, once the little bugs are worked out. Who knows, the Brits might not tolerate losing their rights to drive independently.

That ‘special relationship’ with England that was mentioned in a prior posting the other day?

Flush it.

Owning a car in America = freedom.

Freedom of movement, choice, residence, employment.

Liberals just hate that.

I did the public transport thing in college. For two weeks. I’ve been on a public bus exactly zero times since then. It was what they call a learning experience. I learned it was infinitely better to pay for one’s own car. If I want to feel like I’m riding the public bus, I’ll buy a urine or B.O. scented air freshener.

This UK Labour Party moron should have an IQ test. Ban autos...yes... why not ban trains, airplanes and ships, too.

There’s a potential pandemic that is being spread by, among other things, the seats of taxicabs. Yes, lets ban cars so everyone is forced to use buses and taxis!

Not to worry. Peak oil will strike by then so there won’t be enough fuel for the little people to run their cars. And if that doesn’t work, just raise their taxes so they can’t afford cars.

Maybe traffic wouldn’t be so bad there if the trucks stayed out of the left lane.
