As referenced here at Newsbusters by Jeffrey Lord, CNN president Jeffrey Zucker is saying that layoffs at that network which is rapidly dropping in the ratings could be ahead. Could be? Actually the layoffs are ironically happening right now during Labor Day weekend.
One of those being laid off is CNN Capitol Hill reporter Lisa Desjardins. However, despite the downside of receiving a pink slip, we have to credit her for turning the unemployment lemons into hilarious lemonade by posting a very funny YouTube video (and after the jump) of her good naturedly saying goodby to CNN...and then stealing a bunch of office supplies and ripping their first aid kit off the wall on her way out the network.

I would not hire such a blatant theif, or one who makes fun of it. Perhaps she expects that everyone steals?
Hey, she’s stealing from CNN so...GO FOR IT!!!
I agree that CNN is not an ethical organization. I do not believe that we should advocate theft and lawlessness, even from them.
We need the rule of law, now more than ever.
Meh.
Let’s just say she’s got a nose for radio.
Actually it is not stealing. In keeping with CNN’s policy of supporting the Administration policies, it is actually considered “wealth redistribution” and not outright unlawful common theft.
And there you have it. The PRECISE reason why CNN isn't taken seriously and needs to downsize staff.
This caliber of employee is a thief with a sense of humor who may want to be in pictures, after she spends the fall at mom and dad’s, relaxing.
“Be happy, don’t worry”.
I don’t know but I think the “stealing” of the paper, pencils and first aid kit (who steals a first aid kit ?) is meant to be taken as a joke. I doubt she kept all that paper and all those pencils, not to mention a first aid kit. LOL
I thought it was funny. Maybe I’m beyond morally corrupt though.
Haven’t you guys ever heard of health care portability? Sheesh. Taking a first aid kit of the wall is exactly portable health care. I can’t believe I even have to explain this.
“I thought it was funny. Maybe Im beyond morally corrupt though.”
Maybe it was designed to indicate the caliber and ethics of CNN employees, generally. If so, I applaud her.
She’s not unemployed enough, and I didn’t laugh at all btw.

I read that when Microsoft found out employees were trekking to the supply closet in droves, to stock up on school supplies for their kids, they had all the supplies moved to the center of the office so less time would be wasted.
I didn’t think it was funny. I found the picture of a military coffin in the background kind of creepy.
Clever.
Aren’t these the same people who had no problem with the Clinton people thrashing and vandalizing The White House before George W Bush got into office?
Maybe some plastic surgery, a boob job and a little education could get her a job at FOX news!
