I’m sitting here waiting for word from Best Buy as to when they are sending their installer to switch the hinges on my dryer door! What an ordeal this has been. The good news is that the washer and dryer work well. The bad news is that the the installation was horrid, and my husband has had to do it all over again. They sent the wrong vent kit, no connection hoses, they didn’t level either machine and the washer spilled water all over the floor (the old floor), and they failed to switch the hinges on the dryer door even though they had promised to do it TWICE. Just drove off and vanished. They are supposed to come back today.

My husband could switch the hinges, but I may return these units and settle for a simple, no frills, set for way less money.

The LG washer and dryer seem to do a good job without any of the negatives mentioned in on-line reviews. The clothes are clean, the machine did not get out of balance, the clothes are dry in the allotted time and not excessively wrinkled, or tangled. (all complaints I have read.) The bad news is that I now hate Best Buy. Their customer service is pitiful. This is my LAST major purchase from them.

A+++ I wouldn’t turn my head to catch a glimpse of any of them. All media whores in my book. And there is nothing worse than those who try for their fifteen minutes on the backs of other’s fame. RME Like it means they have accomplished anything in life to interview a famous person.

Al Gore is so afraid of climate change that he had to buy not only one huge mansion, but several around the country! All just to keep aloof over his ever-broadening head......

Exactly!

The machines were delivered at 9:30 AM, and I started wash at 10:00 AM. My husband left for the hardware store to get supplies to finish the installation of the dryer. He came back at 2:00 PM after visiting several supply stores and failing to come up with the right accessories. By this time I had finished a load of wash with no way to dry it.

Then he moved the washer to install a different set of hoses, and all of the water I had used for my load of wash spilled all over the floor. The machine had not drained because they had installed the drain hose improperly.

Anyhow, he finally finished the installation at 11 pm, and I finished folding my 2 loads of wash at 2:30 AM. I have 15 days (13 now) to decide whether, or not, to keep these machines. I do have to say that I was pleased with how they worked, compared to some of the on-line reviews.

But they are really complicated, and there will be a long learning curve on how to operate them to full advantage.

We bought from Lowes and when the washer was acting spastic about whether it wanted both hot and cold water on when filling, they replaced it with no fuss or argument.

Best Buy will replace also, but I’d get the same rotten delivery guys.

What would I do if I weren’t married to an engineer?

What brand did you get from Lowes?
