If there's one thing dogs love, it's going on car rides together with their best human buddy. There's something about dog ears flapping in the wind that makes car rides seem like total relaxation time for them. Plus wind going in their mouths is hilarious.

Lynn-Dah-The-Dawg even enjoys riding with the windows closed and the A/C on.
“Wanna Go For a Ride in the Car?” causes extreme excitement and the Dance-of-Joy.

OMG my boy dog goes INSANE if I even say the word C-A-R out loud. He will stand in the kitchen and bark his behind off, which my sleeping teenagers don’t appreciate when it’s first thing in the AM!

They have quite a vocabulary, and the KNOW what they like!
Even a modest trip to the post office or the gas station is a cause for major celebration.

It’s amazing how the little things give them joy. :) My Jackie “sings” with happiness when she’s in the car..it’s adorable.

Only bikers know why dogs stick their heads out of car winders. ;-)

Yup...back in my younger day(17), before the “space helmets” , inspired by fencing masks, I soldered up a brass screen nose/mouth guard. Sort of stopped the bugs bigger body parts but the rest just got strained. Bug Cusineart, yech. That experiment went into the “I shoulda thought it fully through” bucket.

To derive such joy from simple things is a GIFT! :-)
I would love to have that kind of innocence again.

I hope that poor dog was okay, leaping out of the car like that!

No I object. The liberals were outraged at how Romney had the dog in a crate on top of the car. Was a major campaign issue. We must have dogs wearing their seatbelts.......

For years in montgomery county maryland it has been against the law to have your dog(s)) ride in the back of a pickup. By now the LIB idiots have probably outlawed pickups there. maryland is THE Freak state. Escape wile you can.

I have a Welsh Corgi who rides in the back seat. Frank, the Corgi, has figured out that if he put his front paws on the arm rest, the window comes down!
I didn't know what he was up to until I glanced at the right hand mirror prior to changing lanes and was granted a view of Frank with a monster grin from ear to ear.
Frank has blue eyes, hence the name...
