The world's highest divorce rates aren't found in the U.S. — marriage is actually a much riskier endeavor in Europe.
Check out this map, which draws from the latest divorce data from each country:

Don’t forget most Marriage stats are bogus and put out by the anti marriage crowd ... the actual rate of long term marriage is over 80%. Then you have the multiple divorce crowd changing the annual marriages vs divorces stats.
...but gee if the heteros can’t stay married half the time, shouldn’t we welcome gay marriage commitment??? Yeah let’s change the definition of a 2000 year old basis for society...
ymmv
The Country of Mexico is pretty incredible and much of Central America. Of course America and Europe are a mess. Divorce is a terrible thing and I think we should make it next to impossible to get divorced. Thankfully my family does not have any divorces but I can see that divorce is not a good thing.
I went a checked the census bureau’s own data....she’s right...the highest rate for divorced or widowed is27% for those 55 and older.....much less for the younger set.
Seems to me someone has been cooking the books (gosh I am so shocked)
The countries where divorce is not prevalent? I bet they have a lot of what Bill and Hillary have.

.
Lots of people in Europe don’t even bother getting married formally, but prefer to live together as if they were.
or they are sharia driven
Exactly
So what does that make the 3 sisters divorce rate? 66%
Right now
72 percent of people are still married to their first spouse thats Census Bureau data.

The census doesn’t have any questions that would provide such data. ..........I don’t grok that map at all. It seems to indicate that the US has a 50-59% divorce rate, as it shows % Divorce:Marriage.
In countries where divorce is (or mostly always has been) illegal, a lower statistic for divorce, such as 15%, for instance, does not mean the national rate for fidelity in marriage is 85% for instance. Countries where divorce is illegal have high rates of very open affairs, where one spouse or the other is very openly having an affair or even living with their mistress/boyfriend and their legal spouse knows it.
Its older than that. gay marriage was not even acceptable among the hedonistic ancient greeks who accepted homosexuality as normal
