I have the DVD around here. Cheap Detective and Murder By Death are favorites of mine. Casting people with talent.
Another one from those days was Murder Can Hurt You. A great parody of some of the TV cops.
Here is a piece:

The full movie used to be out there.

Great lines, too.
“I hope my disgustingly cheap perfume does not offend you. I purposely stink to keep my enemies from getting too close.”-Pepe Damascus(Dom DeLuise)
...it's a great movie, I love the puns and it is well made film....
Thank you, thank you. Peter Falk was one of my favorite actors. I have DVDs of him in Murder By Death, and The Great Race, and of course the entire boxed set of Columbo,
I’ve never seen this movie.
I’m stuck in bed with 102 fever and strep throat. I love me a good comedy. You’ve made my day.
“Georgia. I just had you on my mind.”
“Why don’t you pull up a sofa and sit down.”
“Are you sure the police didn’t follow you?”
“I’m positive. They came with me.”
“This is definitely our last date, Georgia.”
I hope you feel better. Let us know what you think of it after you watch it. It’s my favorite Peter Falk film.
Thank you!
Ohno! Prayers up that you get well soon!
Yep. Only I think “The Cheap Detective” is even better.
Thank you. It’s just my yearly strep throat. Last week we had two days of temps in the low 80s and then it went to the 30s for the rest of the week. Everyone I know in real life has a cold, or is getting over one.
I’ve got lots of videos now thanks to you all, and my mom dropped off a huge pot of her famous chicken soup. Yay mom!
Oooooooh.... Chicken soup! You should be all patched up in no time! :)
