I don't catch a lot of TV, but I recall hearing that Sarah Palin has began a new series on the Sportsman Channel. I'm not inclined to watch much reality programming, but I wish her every success anyway. So here we are the day after Easter 4/21, and as far as feedback on her show, I have heard a resounding "NUTTIN" after the premiere show. I do recall reading some leftist's complaint that her show was so bland, there wasn't even enough to 'hate', which meant no fun for that critic of the regime. So, has anyone seen any of the episodes? For there to be no talk at all, pro or con, is not good for a TV show. Sarah is usually good at 'giving them somthing to talk about'. I have to remember that she may have to search for a while before finding the correct way to present herself through and as part of the media. Just because we conservatives generally like her, having broad success in television is never (or rarely) a Slam Dunk.
Witness how Ronan Farrow has been faring. I've heard little about him too. Some say no matter how bad Ronan's show is, or how few viewers he generates, MSNBC is not about to cancel his show within the first few months of it's loudly trumpeted debut. Among other misjudgements, is that Ronan and Mom-ager aka Mom Mia Farrow thought is would be wise to fan the flame of public curiosity about Ronan a few weeks prior to his first show. This was done by enlisting one of Mia's adopted daughters, now an adult, to come forward out of the blue, and accuse her former Foster dad; Woody Allen of incest. Many are convinced, that whole Family Circus was written and orchestrated by Mia herself, the classic passive/ aggressive manipulator.
Time will tell how both these programs do in the long run. I still wish Sarah would find the right forum to present more of her political views in a direct fashion. At least she's active in the media. At some point, Sarah could probably begin her OWN production company, if supported by the right group of professionals. We can't, and we should'nt expect all good and proper views to come from Fox. Fox is a business, plain and simple.
Who even has that channel?
I doubt many people see it.
I dont have the channel on Time Warner Cable, otherwise I would watch it
If it's not on Youtube or Netflix, it's likely I'll never see it.
Yep all three comments above this are right on! Sportsman Channel? Never knew it existed and probably cant get it without paying more.
Hard to believe there are channels with fewer viewers than MSNBC but this is one of them. I doubt she has much of an audience.
Makes me wonder why Sarah even agreed to doing a deal with a station most people do not have. Maybe they were the only one’s offering. I tend to doubt that. Maybe the Sportsman Channel was the only network willing to pay what she and Todd were demanding. I can see that, but some trade off, skirting the borders of oblivion, like now.
Sarah probably insisted on have first approval of exactly what would or would not be filmed for the show, and in what settings it would occur, in which case, what’s a director supposed to do other than follow her directions? A fledgling or novice director would take this as a way to get practice and exposure. A more experienced director with a hollywood reputation may not ( unless he was in political harmony with her) because it would’nt be his show anymore, all direction would belong to The Palins.
No TV ay my house, so I cannot comment.
Watched # 1 on Direct TV with the wife. Both thought it was pretty good. Rest are DVR’d for later view!
I watch Sportsman channel often. It’s on channel .308 here.
I saw her show watching other people’s cable and I loved it. About the only thing worth watching other than Duck Commander, Sons of Guns, Red Jacket etc.
Never even heard of the Sportsman Channel til I heard about Sarah’s new show. I would have been the 1st to watch it if the channel were even available here but it’s not..some people are fortunate enough to get it but I’m not..wish she would have put the show on a more well known network so everyone could have seen it
And yet, you just did :)
She is on one of the least well-known channels carried on systems that have over 500 of them. I am not even sure I could find her show.
I’m a Palin fan, but I think this kind of show plays into the worst yahoo stereotype about her. Her base is already devoted. Would like to see her take a more intellectual tack if she’s going to work in the media before maybe working her way back to elected office.
Wish I had the channel.
I agree. I didn’t want to be a wet blanket, but I wish she would show other aspects of her expertise, aspects I believe her to have.
I don’t have it on my cable package.
