My girls were only briefly involved in Girls Scouts. I remember three things that irritated me the most: First, the “forms” to fill out asked about race/ethnicity — I refused to answer. Second, I found out the troop itself only received something like 15 cents per every box of cookies sold. At $4 a box, that’s hardly a “fundraiser.” Third, all the talk/pressure to support “disadvanted” girls to be a part of GS.
No more GS cookies for me. I never did like them anyway.
