Netflix has The Song of Bernadette on DVD. Due to queue congestion I didnt get it in time to preview it for this post. Youll just have to take Bosley Crowthers word for it HJS.

I actually saw is movie on TV in the early 60’s. Book is by Franz Werfel who wrote it while fleeing the nazis through southern France.
Werfel also wrote The 40 Days at Musa Dagh. Great book.

I have seen this movie when I was a child. What a beautiful movie and I enjoy the movie soundtrack. Jennifer Jones was great in it too. I am playing to purchase the DVD one day before the heathens ban it lol.

Is that the one about the Armenian genocide? (I just checked, it’s not in my library.)

Yes, that is the one. Main character saves his group of Armenians on the mountain.

I’ve always loved this film. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
