Netflix has “The Song of Bernadette” on DVD. Due to queue congestion I didn’t get it in time to preview it for this post. You’ll just have to take Bosley Crowther’s word for it – HJS.

I actually saw is movie on TV in the early 60’s. Book is by Franz Werfel who wrote it while fleeing the nazis through southern France.

Werfel also wrote The 40 Days at Musa Dagh. Great book.

I have seen this movie when I was a child. What a beautiful movie and I enjoy the movie soundtrack. Jennifer Jones was great in it too. I am playing to purchase the DVD one day before the heathens ban it lol.
