One reason commercial liberal talk radios never quite succeeded is that NPR is a network with liberal hosts, liberal guests, and liberal callers. This perfect storm of unanimity displayed itself on Thursdays Diane Rehm Show, when they discussed the push for more gun control. There were no guests from the NRA, just moderate Richard Feldman, who wrote a book about his confessions of a gun lobbyist.
On the other hand, Rehm brought on Mark Kelly, the astronaut husband of disabled ex-Rep. Gabrielle Giffords to talk up his new gun-control group, as well as an anti-gun New York Times reporter and Ladd Everitt, communications director for the liberal Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. A caller named Bill joined the show to trash NRA president Wayne LaPierre as a draft dodger, and Everitt joined in to make the same accusation of NRA board member Ted Nugent

Corporation for Public Broadcasting got $445 million on first day of government slimdown; calls funding ‘indispensible’

LOS ANGELES Funding for clinical cancer trials and other life-saving research under the National Institutes of Health was cut off in response to the government slimdown, but it looks like the cookie monster will still be knee-deep in chocolate chips (or is it carrots now?)
According to the Daily Treasury Statement and first reported by CNS News, the administration dished out $445 million to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) on the first day of the slimdown, which means funds for the likes of PBS Newshour, NPR and Sesame Street are being spent before cancer research.
Its more than irresponsible, it is reprehensible. Its an in-your-face move by the administration, blatantly picking winners and losers in this shutdown, C. Edmund Wright, a columnist for Breitbart.com and American Thinker, told FOX411. Public broadcasting is a staple of liberal propaganda.
And as Media Research Centers Director of Media Analysis, Tim Graham, pointed out, PBS has hosted two very friendly interviews with President Obama in recent weeks....
Exactly. Someone needs to tell these gun-grabbing, Nazis that those who served in the military did so to guarantee the Bill of Rights to every American. These morons are brain dead.
Hate. That’s the biggest reason the lefties never make it in radio. These are just hate filled people and it makes for boring, uninteresting shows that are just clogging the airwaves. National Paid Radio should have their government funding revoked. It’s bad enough we pay for all these liberal programs gone bad but we get to listen to the left bash us on our dime too.
When push comes to shove and a rabid evil liberal is confronted with nowhere in a logical, reasoned argument, the will always revert to the most vile epithet they can think of that will hurt the opposing arguer.
In point of fact, and in actual demonstrated events, a liberal will condemn someone as a ‘fag’, a ‘deserter/draft-dodger’, being a ‘black Uncle Tom’, accuse abuse because one chose to have a Down Syndrome baby, or any other protected-status group the Democrats champion, if that means the Conservative opponent can be made to ‘look bad.’
Barking dogs all. November 2008 sealed their fate and ours. Their agenda laid bare for all to see. Reasoned debate and civil discourse was simply never part of their game plan, so I’ll not waste oxygen, and I strenuously object to them breathing mine. The “conversation” is ended.
LOL! You know what they say in the lib circles. Style(?) over substance is the way. Doesn’t matter if it does someone some good or not as long as the “look” good trying.

Republicans can receive ‘gratitude’ for that as well. They have neglected all opportunities to de-fund this taxpayer funded, liberal propaganda machine.
As a sort of litmus test, I’ll start taking Republicans seriously when they get serious about de-funding NPR/PBS. This would be a show of good faith on their part. But I won’t hold my breath.
Why is it that liberals always want to take thing away from people? Its a question that needs to be asked more often IMO.
Good question.
I really wish that some prominent conservatives would give voice to that one question. Liberals are never content to leave people alone; they always want something such as your hard earned money, you rights to own things, or your personal liberties. Liberals are takers, that’s for sure.
What worries me is that a large number of programmed “college students” are starting to say that Marxiam/Socialism/Communism is “the way to go.” When we take our government and country back, we’re going to have to establish a lot of deprogramming centers to bring these kids back to normal.
defund NPR.
Liberals HAVE to take things away from others because they produce little or nothing of value by themselves. They also need to silence the voices of those they steal from.Right now, that’s job#1 for them.
Gosh, the NRA is getting trashed? And Wayne LaPierre and Ted Nugent are draft dodgers? It’s like 2004 all over again. Thanks rktman.

...is raising money for a conservative gun rights group thats targeting fellow Republicans... has lent his name to fundraising pitches for the National Association for Gun Rights, a group that says the National Rifle Association is too willing to compromise on gun rights... has blitzed the districts of Virginia Republicans Cantor and Rep. Scott Rigell with $50,000 worth of TV and radio ads...
I have a relative who is an absolute lib degenerate who loves npr. The fool even listens to the equally-loony rehm subhuman. Sheesh.
