Well, I buy chicken quarters & cut them into drumstick & thighs I if I want to. But I have noticed thighs increased in price here in Hudson county as well during the recent months. .
The cost of anti-bloating agents used to preserve the chickens appearance, has through the roof. The anti-bloating agents are used to make the chicken smell and appear as real chicken. In addition to giving the breading or batter an appealing texture instead of that lake foam look.
Excellent! The Hillary Special; 2 fat thighs w/ small breast and a left wing!! I’ll take one to go. Xtra Krispy.
Last week Kroger had chuck roast on sale at $1.99 lb. . I got forty pounds and canned 41 pints of the wonderful stuff.

Marin County ? Only ultrarich Stalinist nutters can afford to live there.
It's called 'food stamps'. More dollars are now chasing the same amount of goods. Chuck roast is now $5/lb in case you haven't noticed. I no longer can afford beef (but people on food stamps can).
I’m glad you asked this because I’ve seen the same thing in Oakland.
I’m hoping it’s because the turkey shortage at Thanksging caused a lot of people to buy chicken, resulting in a temporary chicken shortage. I hope the price goes back down soon, but I don’t really know.
Yea, but the stuff you can actually eat is closer to $6.
Maybe if you work out more it will improve.
The is "NO" inflation.

“Why are my chicken thighs...”
If you have chicken thighs, you have a real problem. Eat!
I saw that! I thought about canning some, too. Haven’t done that in a few years, now. Do you add any liquid to your jars? Thanks, easty.
Where we live they are 69 cents a lb.and breast are 1.99 a lb.That’s the Texas price!
I used to work at microbiology lab testing food. Chicken doesn’t worry me....the only thing I worry about is food I don’t cook. Like pre-packaged salads....those worry me!!
a local supermarket in the Terra Linda area of “Marin County”............................ I think just the county alone would give you a clue.
Speaking of high prices, I saw Thomas English muffins for $4.39 a pack last night.
Outrageous.
The chickens have unionized and demand more wages and benefits to donate their thighs. Blame the cows that encourage everyone to “eat mor chikn”.
