I agree with EEE. After some really bad 80's pop (to me, "real" 80's music is just about all metal)... there were some decent acts getting popular airplay on MTV (which still actually played Music Videos), and alternative pop radio. I owned American Thighs on cassette... Seether was great... lots of radio play... but my favorite on the alhum was, hands down, Spiderman '79.
I play in a band with a guy who has another gig going and played in front of 26,000 people earlier this year.
Looks like a crowd is nearing 100,000 in the video. Can’t imagine the rush that must be.
Well, they can play a few bar chords. Is this supposed to be a joke? This is just garage band fare. Of course after the introduction of so-called alternative music expectations are quite low for younger folks these days. Sort of fits in with low expectations of the times — low employment rates, underemployment, low salaries, high taxes, socialist overlords, bland music to be completely forgotten in a few years.
