Didn't it take about two years to build the empire state building way back in the 30's? Before we had all of this modern technology? And how long did it take to build the Wills Tower&Disney World? What we are seeing is the sheer stupidity of Liberals running the show. And the left always claims that Congress could never get anything done?
Congress’ own version of the website works.
The revelation that about 40% of the code behind the website
DOES NOT EVEN EXIST
was a huge shocker. These people are unbelievable.
It was built in 11 months.
This destroys the idiots theory about “you didn’t build this”
Yeah cause it WORKS!
How long did it take to build the World Trade Center replacement?
The French and English built the amazing Millau Viaduct in less than four years [Oct 2001- Jan 2005] and for around 500 million dollars.
Isn't the company they contracted to some slacker cronies of Michelle's? Not surprising at all. I'm sure the direction to the contractor went something like: just collect their information and get them to sign up for it. If the rates and details aren't there yet or complete the individual companies will provide that once the enrollee is assigned to the company for coverage.
This is why many people are getting unpleasant surprises after signing up - like their poster-child woman. Once the company rates the risk, and the IRS looks at the data, they find out their premiums are more and their subsidies/discounts less...
Yep, lots of taxpayer dollars were funneled to Mooch’s college roommate.

Putting things in perspective:
December 7, 1941 to May 8, 1945 is 3 years, 5 months, 1 day.
March 21st 2010 to October 2013 is 3 years, 6 months, 10 days.
What this means is that in the time we were attacked at Pearl Harbor to the day Germany surrendered is not enough time for this federal government to build a working webpage.
Mobilization of millions, building tens of thousands of tanks, planes, jeeps, subs, cruisers, destroyers, torpedoes, millions upon millions of guns, bombs, ammo, etc. Turning the tide in North Africa, Invading Italy, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin - all while we were also fighting the Japanese in the Pacific!!
And they can’t build a webpage!
You know, that viaduct cost less to construct than Obama spent on the Obamacare website! (so far)
What I would like to know is how much it cost to put a man on the moon compared to building this 60% complete website? Adjusted for inflation of course.
Putting things in perspective:
I know that was not your point but in todays society we want IMMEDIATE FIXES AND IT WILL BE OUR UNDOING. We no longer have long term perspective.
From Wikipedia (so it has to be right):
The final cost of project Apollo was reported to Congress as $25.4 billion in 1973.[73] It took up the majority of NASA's budget while it was being developed. For example, in 1966 it accounted for about 60 percent of NASA's total $5.2 billion budget.[74] A single Saturn V launch in 1969 cost up to $375 million, compared to the National Science Foundation's fiscal year 1970 budget of $440 million.[75]
In 2009, NASA held a symposium on project costs which presented an estimate of the Apollo program costs in 2005 dollars as roughly $170 billion. This included all research and development costs; the procurement of 15 Saturn V rockets, 16 Command/Service Modules, 12 Lunar Modules, plus program support and management costs; construction expenses for facilities and their upgrading, and costs for flight operations. This was based on a Congressional Budget Office report, A Budgetary Analysis of NASAs New Vision for Space, September 2004.[71] The Space Review estimated in 2010 the cost of Apollo from 1959 to 1973 as $20.4 billion, or $109 billion in 2010 dollars, averaged over the six landings as $18 billion each.[76]
“We Can Build A Skyscraper In Two Years”
We? The empire state building is privately owned and privately built. So there is your answer.
Agreed. And to be honest I doubt the buildup for WW2 was efficient...just rapid.
It’s taken 12 years to build the Freedom Tower.
