Days after introducing a bill into parliament repealing a carbon tax introduced by his Labor predecessor, Australias conservative new prime minister stoked fresh controversy by opposing plans for a fund to help impoverished members of the Commonwealth deal with climate change.
At a summit in Sri Lanka of leaders of the 53-member Commonwealth a grouping of Britain and its former colonies Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott rejected a decision to launch a green capital fund. The only other country opposing the move was Canada, whose prime minister was one of three Commonwealth leaders boycotting the gathering to protest Sri Lankas human rights record.

LOL! Let's see, are there actually politicians out there that are waking up to the scamalot of glow-bull warming/climate change garbage? Odd too, that when they have these meetings to discuss how to take every penny we have from us it's in some far off locale. Guess they don't like video conferencing huh? Course if they did that, then a lot of hookers would be out of work.

I’ll bet O is all for it, and would be happy to have the US contribute the lion’s share to the fund, and to try to take the international fund’s “recommendations” as strong suggestions for the EPA to further cripple our economy. He so green!

Oh yeah. He’s already “all in” on this. Hopes to have enough “rich” countries to provide 100 billion/yr(I think that was the $$$ number I read) to the “poor” countries to combat the threats we all face due to climate change. Now, where’s my barf bag?

Whether they believe in global warming or not, nations should be suspicious of yet another "green fund" to be filled with taxpayer cash.
What happened to all the other green slush funds?

...a fund to help impoverished members of the Commonwealth deal with climate change. What sort of climate change "problems" are the poor members needing help to mitigate?

There is a report on climate changes over the last 400 thousand years based on findings in ice cores from the north and south pole areas. The results indicate that the earth's climate swings between being hot and then cold every 150,000 years. It reports that we are now at the top of the warm cycle. Perhaps in another 100 years it will become obvious. Don't take my word for it, the report is on the Net. Check for Ice Core Samples.
It also explains why this happens.

I’m aware of the core sample data.
My comments were about the likelihood that Obama is all for a big stealth tax giveaway through an international climate fund. He’d be happy if the US bore the major share of this slush fund, too.
