H.J. Heinz Co. is closing three plants in North America and cutting 1,350 jobs in an effort to operate more efficiently.
The food maker said Thursday that it will close facilities in two states and Canada over the next six to eight months. The cuts total 200 jobs in Florence, S.C., 410 jobs in Pocatello, Idaho and 740 employees in Leamington, Ontario, in Canada.

I’d bet half their employees are in the country illegally.
John Kerry’s fault.

And there ya have it.
McDaonld’s is dumping Heinz. Ripple.....
Mamma T had too many gin-soaked raisins.
What does boy-toy John F’n have to say bout it???
How is it that the unemployment rate hasn’t blown up?
So my years of boycotting the company has finally had an affect?! Kewl! /s
Gee, looks like Theresa and John “really” care about American jobs. NOT!
I heard Heinz hired the Ex Burger King CEO.
Heinz. 54 Flavors.
color me sad...
Canada ping.
The international banking system; loaned USA money to build factories, then/now re-loans money to Mexico and every place _but_ USA to re-build factories there.
Banks are obviously a non-national money making business, making the same profit re-building the same factory in an ongoing sequence of locations/nations. The brillance of it all is that they not only make money on the interest, but that they make even more money on the principle. Loaning money they didn’t even have; a fraction of it; wink, wink, wink.
Let me see, if I pretended to loan you $20million that I didn’t have, charging you 5% interest, would I make more money from interest, 5% (20M/20 = 1M) or the 20M principle? I can’t say enough duh...
McD’s only had about two restaurants serving Heinz ketchup. Just about all other outlets serve the McD “fancy” ketchup. No big lossmaker for Heinz.
Once I saw his ugly mug with Tuh-Ray-Zuh Heinz, we switched to Hunt’s Ketchup and never looked back.
Not the ones in Canada.
Me too.
