In a televised speech before Congress on September 09, 2009, President Obama said the following:

"Here are the details that every American needs to know about this plan:

First, if you are among the hundreds of millions of Americans who already have health insurance through your job, Medicare, Medicaid, or the VA, nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have. Let me repeat this: nothing in our plan requires you to change what you have."

Wow, this sounds pretty good huh? Who could've possibly been against Obama's proposal given that he said we could keep our current plan and doctor if we so desired? This was clearly fraudulent misrepresentation by Obama, made to induce members of Congress and the public into accepting his plan.

Although people like Judge Andrew Napolitano remind us that it's not illegal or an impeachable offense for the president to lie to the American people, it is illegal for him to lie to Congress. Obama clearly lied directly to Congress on September 09, 2009 while touting his health care plan. And he did so publicly at least 30 times thereafter. These lies were willful. They were designed to garner support for and silence opposition to his plan. At no time afterwards and up to roll-out of the 'Healthcare.gov' website did he correct these lies. This is important to remember.

When the president speaks to the American people, is he not also speaking to Congress? There are at LEAST 29 instances of Obama saying "you can keep your health care plan" and "you can keep your doctor", even after passage of the law itself in March 2010. After passage of the law, these lies become even more egregious.

In communist regimes such as Venezuela under the former Hugo Chavez or China under Chairman Mao or the Soviet Union under Kruschev, government-sanctioned lies were forced upon the people as truths. The Soviet Union newspaper called 'PRAVDA' (translated as 'TRUTH') promoted government lies as truths. Shockingly, this is what's happening right now here in America. Fraudulent misrepresentation or such overt 'bait and switch' perpetrated on the American people and Congress by our president must not stand unchallenged.

Regardless of other reasons for impeachment such as the NSA's overreach, DOJ bullying, IRS voter suppression or negligence and dereliction of duty in Benghazi, there's no argument Obama willfully lied about the ACA. And after March 2010, no one in his administration stopped him from lying, either.

Would the Affordable Care Act have been met with more resistance in Congress and more public outrage had Obama told the TRUTH from the beginning? Absolutely it would have, and this is why these lies are so pathetically egregious. And illegal.

Here’s a list of events and instances this President has been involved in:

- Obama abjectly lied about OBamaCare, misrepresenting it to Congress in order to get it passed.

- Obama anectly lied about Benghazi, covering up the death, at the hands of our enemies, the death of a US Ambassador, a US State Depatrment employee and two US NAvy SEALS.

- Obama has violated the law on several occassions regarding ObamaCare, granting waivers, and suspensions to poitical allies and friends, when he has no authority to change the law like that.

- Obama has violateds the law on numerous occassions, taking unconstituional authority to tell his own agencies to not enforce immigration laws, the Defense of Marriage Act, and others at his own discretion.

- Obama used the IRS to intimidate and punish his political foes.

- Obana has threatened the free press through intimidation by law enforcement to silence them when they report negatively on activities his administration is involved in.

- Obama has stood by, protected, and used executive privelege to hide and cover up illegal gun running by the BATF at the behest of the Attorney General and Justice Department.

For EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THESE individual instances, Barack Obama should be impeached. It should be a different impeachement hearing and trial for each instance. Each of them are unconstitutional and illegal acts that he has not only conspired to accoomplish, but which he himself has been involved with.

I believe the House of Representatives should take an entire month, and on each working day of that month...what? 22 days or so...impeach Barack Obama 22 individual times on 22 seperate charges and force the Senate to vote on each and every one of them.

He would be the onaly President impeached more than once, and the record would never be broken, and the embarassement and clear evidence of his failure as a President and his guilt as an internal enemy to this Republic would be recorded for all to see throughout history.

If we had patriotic, constituoional leadership in the House, they would have been doing this all along.

Congress passed the bill, which they are charged with reading. The law makes plain that you can and will lose your insurance.

This is like a builder making a host of representations to you about the house you will by — but then disclaiming them all in the contract, and changing the terms — which you then sign.

If you get that builder on tape fraudulently misrepresenting the contract before it's signed, you can press charges against him and have a slam dunk case.

King Barry willfully misrepresented the ACA before it was passed and signed into law. It's illegal to lie to Congress. I think that's a separate issue from whether Congress read it or not.

Thanks for replying. I need to clarify that I wasn't trying to defend what Obama did or did not say about Obamacare. I agree that he is LEGALLY responsible for claming what Obamacare would or would not do since he hadn't read the bill, and therefore had no solid basis for any claims that the made.
