I rec'd a petition and request for funds from a Committee to draft Ben Carson for president. Has anyone else rec'd one?
Nope nor would I sign one.
He’s doing fine right now but we don’t need any more moderates.
What’s his positions on Immigration, abortion, economic policy, 2nd amendment, affirmative action, social engineering, etc...?
Shouldn’t know know this before we ask someone to represent us?
Forget it. Make him Surgeon General.
You are correct. The letter says that he has been an active Tea Party supporter since the beginning.
John Philip Sousa IV is the chairman of the committee. I haven’t researched him.
He’s somewhat of a gun-grabber, if my memory serves me correctly.
I did.
Or head of Health & Human Services to undo all that Sebelius has done.
Yes and I signed it.
What is moderate about?
Had the honor of being seated in his presence for an hour last night, at a Revive 1787 event, here in Colorado.
He is a true Conservative.
I expect he will run as an independent and draw extensive Tea Party support.
I’ve always discouraged 3rd party attempts, but this will likely change my mind.
Heck, the U.S. Constitution contains what, 7500 words? Not hard to discuss in a series of one hour debates, right? For example...
"What is your interpretation of the Second amendment Ms. Clinton?" "What is your interpretation of the Second amendment, Mr. Cruz?"
Or, "What is your position on Kelo v New London Ms. Clinton?" Mr. Cruz? And to you both, your opinions on Roe v Wade. Mr. Cruz you first.
Let FR determine the questions, and let Limbaugh ask them. Or Levin,....
FU Candy Crawley.

I agree that he should be Surgeon General. We need a military man like Allen West as next president. We need somebody who will put the fear back in our enemies. I’d like to see Ted Cruz as vice-president. (I’d be ok with a Cruz/West ticket though!)

I don't trust anyone not to fold unless we've seen them in an elected position.
I dimly recall having some pretty iffy statements on some issues
So you prefer career politicians (legislators)?
If this election is going to be all about the effed-up healthcare system, he’d be a very logical choice.
Which is why there’s not a snowballs chance in Hell the GOP will go for it.
While I like the guy a lot, let us recall how much people wanted to draft Colin Powell to run for office. Give the good doctor a bit more time to tell us what he thinks and why. Then we can decide.
I don’t think he’s presidential material, but I was a strong advocate for drafting him for the Michigan senate race. He’d have taken that in a sweep.
My favorite Carson moment: When he made the queer Nambla connection on national T.V.
Exactly what I was thinking!
